In response to MellowYellow:
Fat Tuesday is just a day set aside for people to enjoy their last day of eating full meals until the day starts with fasting on Ash Wednesday in Catholicism or Christianity... So, enjoy it while it lasts! And strangely, I think Mardi Gras happens to be on the same day as Fat Tuesday every year...
I am hopelessly scattered-brained today. I just can't seem to concentrate on what people are saying to me. It's not the lack of sleep nor is it my stomach growling at me for food. That's it: it must be this weather on its bloody PMS! *grumbles*
On a brighter note, I finally have a play in mind to write about. Now, I gotta start writing it! Plus, there are a few plays coming up pretty soon, and I need to make plans to go see them so that I can write my reports for my Playwriting class.
I didn't even know that BlueBell's Ice-cream got a flavor called "Birthday cake." I had it for dinner last night, and hey, that ice-cream does taste and looks like a chocolate birthday cake with sprinkles and all (but in ice-cream version, of course)...
Yesterday, I had a mini-Mardi Gras celebration at UST. I think enough people gave me enough beaded necklaces. Besides, I was wearing so many of them that I could've choked on them or have my poor neck bruised by all of those beaded inprints! So now, I can tell you that I shall count the rainbows, and I have the necklaces to prove it! Hehe. But anyway, UST also held a joint celebration with a Financial Aid Fair as well, so not only do I get those rainbow beaded necklaces, I also got treats and candy and a chance to win a scholarship giveaway! And on the doubleplus side, there was a live band called Sky Blue 72 who was performing, and they were awesome!
And oh yes, I almost forgot. It's Chinese New Year's today! And we Vietnamese folks have that as a part of our tradition. So... Happy Lunar Year to everyone! Oh, did I mention that it is the year of the Rooster? You Rooster folks are the acknowledged ones today!
Happy Ash Wednesday (even if you do not celebrate it, I still wish it), Happy Belated Mardi Gras, Happy Belated Fat Tuesday, and Happy New Year!
<3 Take care! *smooches*
