Current GPA: 3.88
Cumulative GPA: 3.21

Not bad. My GPA could've been EVEN higher this semester, but taking biology and chemistry for one whole year last year sorta screwed up everything. Not only that, I was still trying to recover from my major depression period (from last year of high school--we coined the now-famous term "senioritis"), so I think I pushed myself too hard. I'm actually glad to be a college sophomore now, still trying to decide if I want to double major, travel for a couple of years, etc. But I'm certain that I'll major in psych and minor in creative writing.

Anyway, my parents are still house-hunting, and with that in mind, I might be at Prairie View or Texas A&M for grad school, but I was originally planning UH-Main, because they have the clinical neuropsychology grad program I wanted to apply for, based on the blessings of many people, including professors from Rice. So we'll see what the future holds.

It has been an interesting week for me so far. It finally feels like Christmas. I'm hoping this cold, windy weather will last till Xmas Day, because every year, it's always so warm and sunny... And of course, if you live in Houston, there's no SNOW!! *cry* Yeah, have pity. I wanted snow, and I want snow now! The last snow event I remembered was when I was in 3rd grade, and that was ages ago.

Anyway, working at Sam Goody @ Almeda Mall has been interesting. I have to work both day and night shifts, depending on the schedule... And so it's exhausting. I have fun at the same time though, but I'm more used to the professional/office kind of jobs. Working in retail is a different experience for me altogether. And since it's Xmas, I had to work as a "bouncer" (Hey, it's not my fault. My boss gave me that name, because I had to watch customers going in and out of the store, because the alarm kept beeping every 15 minutes or so.), with my walkie-talkie and all, despite my height (hehe. I'm only 5'!). Other than that, finding stuff for the customers and rearranging things are my duties for now, since I'm still in training, I think... All in all, I'm saving up for future uses with what I'm working for. So it should be worth it. Everyone's really friendly, laid-back, and cool though, so that's good.

In other news, I've finished the most recent books by Parnell Hall, And a Puzzle to Die On, and by Keith Ablow, Murder Suicide. I love mystery and psychological thrillers, especially Ablow's books. And it would be kinda cool to meet him one of these days. He's actually a famous forensic psychiatrist (working with the nation's well-known crimes) aside from being a writer!

Well, happy holidays, everyone! I'll be back soon, if not the new year for my resolutions! *wink* (I'm going to take a much-needed break from Blogdom again, plus I got Xmas parties to attend to, presents to open and give, people I want to see, novels to finish reading, movies to finish watching, and of course, my work at Sam Goody to deal with.) You are all in my thoughts, okay?? *smooches and hugs*
