Rambles, ponderings, rants, and nonsense...

Whew! Tis has been a while. Thanks everyone for giving me such "colorful" suggestions for my soon-to-be contacts. I was looking at the "blending" selections (I forgot the name of the brand, FreshLook or something), but my eyes are on the dark gray/blue, hazel/green, violet/gray, and of course clear... I can't wait for my upcoming eye exam. And I NEED that checkup too. Sometimes, I feel like I have double-vision...

Anyway, I'm building up another volunteer log for myself, seeing that my nearly-desperate job hunting attempts have failed. I need a job to pay for books anyway. Tis no wonder college expenses are a real pain... But as I was saying, I'm now an office volunteer at the local church near my house. These people are really friendly, even Father Paul. He's extremely nice, and my favorite---how he always starts his homily (lecture or sermon) by saying this: "Jesus Christ is our joy and our strength, always in our hearts and in our minds..." Even before he walks up to the mic on the lectern, everyone would already know that those words would come out of his mouth, before he starts saying it. LOL. It's funny, but it's true.

But yes, sadly, volunteering means no $$$$, but that's okay. My volunteer experience would look impressive on my resume. I'm skilled enough when it comes to the office. I can do secretarial work, and I'm nearly a perfectionist, meticulously about any little task I do, plus I double-check things too. Like today, I was going over stacks of bulletins, which were dated back to 1985. Wow, I was 1 years old then... But I had to arrange the weekly bulletins from 1985-1991 and then noting which weeks are missing. These were the years that needed to be sorted out, because these bulletins are not binded in a hardcover book. I asked what was the purpose of doing that, and Ruth, who's an educational psychologist, says that they wanted to keep a record of the community and the church's history. That's amazing though. So after 3 hours, that's all I had to do, since Monday's are the busiest days for them.

Fortunately, I gotta come by around 10am tomorrow to begin my next assignment. I can't wait! I love adventures, and I can smell them drifting in the air... and I also met Victor, who's a seminarian, who invited me to come to one of the retreats that is coming up. It'll be at the local nature center. That's cool---maybe I should come.

Anyway, that's it for now. Hope you guys have a fantastic day or the beginning of the week, rather! LOL.
