More quizzes... hehe...

Well, I finally saw Mean Girls, starring Lindsay Lohan... As my brother puts it simply, even though he hasn't watched the movie, "It teaches you how to be a slut." LOL.. Actually, when I finally watched it today, he wasn't entirely wrong. LOL.. Yeah, it's about this new girl Cady, pronounced "Katie" (Lohan), who moved from Africa to the U.S., because her parents were working on their dissertation as zoologists, in order to socialize with the real world of high school, because she has been home-schooled all her life. Going from an innocent quiet shy-girl to an all-out wannabe slutty plastic Barbie doll, she learns the trials and triumphs of living in both worlds of what true friends are and that being in the most popular all-girl clique of Northshore High School doesn't add up to make you any happier. This movie is hilarious and surprisingly, it's PG-13. Why am I surprised with this? Well, it has a whole lot more curse words than I expected... Hmm... It seems to me that the younger generations will be learning how to curse a whole lot earlier AND by the time they reach their pre-teens. Tis sad, but frankly, I started to learn, or rather, hear curse words when I was about 10-11 years old.. I guess the kids who already watched this movie will learn how to curse when they are like, what? 5 years old?? *sigh* And we wonder why kids grow up to be very defiant, rebellious, and aggressive... Heh, the irony.

Anyway, one other thing I have to point out: in this movie, some minor actors are Asians, specifically Vietnamese!! That's so awesome!! I mean, Vietnamese people are pretty good in the entertainment world, but they aren't that big in American movies, you know? But really, these Viet girls were talking in Vietnamese and I understood it!! That's so cool! But unfortunately, the translated subtitles were in French!! And I was like: WTF?!?! This isn't right!! The language they are speaking is Vietnamese, and why would the movie be giving us subtitles in French? Furthermore, not everyone who has watched this movie can READ in French!!! Arrggghhh!! That's why sometimes, I feel so inferior because we are minorities!! And we SHOULD have subtitles in Vietnamese. I don't see any difference with Vietnamese, because we use the alphabet and the accents just like the French does. The only difference is that when we speak in Vietnamese, it sounds like Chinese...

That is that. I went shopping today. Hmmm, no I didn't buy anything. I just like walking around and browsing thru and even window-shopping. hehe... Besides, I went hunting for shoes for my sisters, because we need to look pretty for the wedding coming up. And then grocery shopping at Walmart. Whew, we really filled the cart. Twas heavy... Tons of food, because guests will be coming over pretty soon from out of town!! Yikes!! Yeah, my cousin's wedding will fit as another family reunion... LOL... Think of it as my family feeding a zoo of hungry animals..Teehee!! =P

And if I don't go back to blog, I'll miss you guys, but don't worry, I'll be back! And guess what?? Maybe I'll post pictures of moi from the wedding...hehe... =P

Chao, everyone!! And take care! *huggles*
