Well, happy weekend, everyone! So far, I had a pretty much uneventful Saturday. Nothing new is going on, except that I'm working on my poster project for biology lab. Aside from that, I'm writing reviews for the Today's Woman Forum as well as for my psych class and my own amusement. =)
I'm thinking about getting a minor in creative writing (just from reading through the course catalog of UST), so I'm working on all genres of writing for now! =) I'd be so thrilled if I get a book published one of these days! =)
Aside from that note, I think I did pretty well with my bio exam yesterday. The chem exam---I think it was too long... It was just nothing but work out problems of calculations! No multiple choice whatsoever! Yeah, everyone thought it was pretty overwhelming...
Yesterday, I talked to my friend about getting an undergraduate degree. Yeah, she's crazy to major in chem, but she wants to be an optometrist, so I had to console her, telling her that she'll make it! And of course, it's kinda funny if you give someone advice and you end up not taking your own advice, isn't it? Ah, the irony, but really, if I'm not going to pre-med, I won't sweat it, because I find the world of psychology the greatest place for me to be in. There's so much out there. Furthermore, I'm planning to conduct an undergraduate research and have it presented to the entire school campus and the community! That'll be so exciting! I don't care if it looks good on applications. All I care about is putting myself out there and seeking and discovering something new to not only improve medicine, but health. Psychology is just as important as medicine. In fact, did you guys know that Americans are ranked one of the top countries with extreme levels of depression and stress? It's really sad, but true... And with me working on reviews and doing research for my further future studies, I hope to contribute my findings to promote good health for not only Americans, but for the world.
Anyway, enough of that. You'll read about it more once I finish my reviews and other things. Also, yesterday was supposed to be my online training for my online tutoring. How does that work? It's like an almost private online chatting with a nice network to all the works plus email. So whenever the student ventures into the realms and ask for me, the tutor, I help him/her. Unfortunately, the server is down, so I was unable to even get my scheduled training. *sigh* Ah well, but I did email the head manager though.
Today is raining---horribly. I had to take my siblings for dance practice, because they will perform later for the Marian Day celebration. In case you guys don't know what that is, it's a Catholic Christian tradition honoring the beloved Virgin Mary, Mother of God. So the dancers wear pretty dresses, flowers in their hair, etc. I think it's more of the Vietnamese Catholics carrying out this tradition though. =) Yeah, so it was raining, and I was scared of driving, because I couldn't see anything!! Well, southeast Texas is known to have floods and hurricanes anyway. And you ask me how I survive all of that, eh? Let's just say that I'm grateful to still be here!
In the meantime, take care, everyone! And I better expect to see some of you bloggin' again! hehe... =P Have a lovely and hopefully, an un-rainy weekend!!
