My nervousness is growing more and more evident. I can barely contain myself, and tomorrow is another day...

Anyway, time for another lecture.

Subject: On Christianity

I never understand why people can be so bitter, so spiteful towards Christianity. All it is, is that it's just another religion. Yes, it's monotheistic, but that's certainly not the whole point. The point is, is that Christianity encompasses the wholeness of life and develops and nutures the whole meaning---the philosophy of life itself. Not only that, of course, it deals with pro-life... Truly Christianity is a religion most people would normally tend to go against, but think of it this way: We, Christians, are merely humans. We believe in a God who may be intangible or what some people may say "not real," but the roots of Chrisitianity itself binds life together through love and kindness. These two things are what draw people together in unity, but simultaneously, not diminishing diversity. And we express our love and kindness through our words and deeds. Hence, charity is one of our ways in fulfilling this.

Now think of this another way: Why do we have "In God We Trust" on our currency? Why do we have "one nation under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance? Why do we say "God-damn" or "Oh my God" or "Jesus" or "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph" without giving it a thought, every single time we are angry, surprised, frustrated, or overwhelmed? Would you say that Christianity is rooted beyond history and at times, beyond comprehension? Why are rated R movies, for example, even have religious (mostly Christianity) symbolism embedded throughout the film? Or how about videogames, like Xenosaga, for example? Can you tell me why people, unintentionally, are drawn to Christianity, even if they do not know it's Christianity?

Think about it. I'm a Catholic, and yes, I can be as close to being a nun or even Mother Teresa if I have to. Will that change who I am? Certainly not. Will that make me different from everyone else? Absolutely not. Am I "good"? No, but we all sin, but at least I don't plan to plot a murder, for example. We are humans. We all strive in doing things with what we feel is right, which would hopefully lead us to happiness, right? Of course.

Have you given this a thought yet?

So whenever you are bitter or spiteful about a religion, think of its purpose. Give that religion the respect it deserves, although you don't have to necessarily agree. And the thing is, don't be bitchy about it either.

And for those of you who are atheists, may I ask why? What things make you that way? Do you believe in the ideal concept of afterlife? Do you believe that you have a "soul"? In my opinion, that IS a lie. No one can be ABSOLUTE atheists, because you have to at least believe in something, and this life that you are living in, many things flood you to believe in the concepts of love, kindness, and happiness---no matter what.

Still not convinced? Define what it means to have "human dignity." Would you give up the life you're living now to be the poorest of the poor and become the ultimate servant of all servants, like Jesus? That would be a challenge, won't it?

We love those who are beautiful, or smart, or absolutely "like ourselves," but we never give any consideration to those who are "disfigured, uncared for, weak, ugly, poor, dumb, insane, mentally disabled, or even physically disabled." Are we afraid of death? Hell yeah. That's why 1 out of every 10 persons would ever witness their own beloved actually dying in front of their eyes. Now how many of you actually did see a person dying? I know I haven't yet.

Here's another scenario: Let's say your boyfriend/girlfriend actually was involved in a devastating car accident and is now quadriplegic, would you continue to love him/her? Or would you dump him/her? This is even more complicated when this person is your fiance/fiancee. Would you go on marrying him/her, or call off the pending marriage? This is double times harder when this person becomes mentally disabled! And the list goes on.

Bottom line is: DON'T MESS WITH LOVE!!!
ULTIMATE RULE: Respect every religion. They're all the same. But yet, Christianity dominates.

Those who want to refute my arguments, go right ahead. I'm willing to defend my position.
